A perfect day for 'Plein Air Painting'. There were many views to choose from, the restaurant staff was very gracious and lunch on the deck was delightful!

How to make a cigar box pochade

When painting outdoors, it's important to have the right equipment to make your life easier. Dealing with the changes in light and weather can certainly be enough of a challenge!!

Here is a video which explains how to make a pochade box out of a cigar box.

Our first summer

The summer of 2008 was the birth of the Northwoods Outdoor Artists. It was great fun and everyone 'painted' their little hearts out! Hopefully, some of the artists will post some of their work here to share.
